Step 3: Organize your books and recipes
Bookmarks are how you make your Bookshelf your own, for cookbooks, magazines, and recipes, including online recipes and personal clippings.
- Click the Bookmark tag or the chef’s hat next to a recipe title.
- Type a name for a new Bookmark (then Add New and Save), or pick one you’ve already created.
- Books and recipes display their Bookmarks. The chef’s hat changes color when you select “I want to cook this” (orange) or “I’ve cooked this” (green).
- Search within any Bookmarked group of recipes or books.

Adding a Bookmark: tick one you already have or type a new name, then Save.
Some favorite ways members use Bookmarks: tag books by location if your books live in more than one place, keep track of favorites, build menus, flag recipes to try later, or group recipes by season, ingredient, or occasion. However you organize, Bookmarks bend to fit. Try adding a few on My Bookshelf.
