Adding your own recipe photos

The easiest way is in the CookShelf app. When you mark a recipe as cooked, you can add your photo at the same time, straight from your phone's camera roll. Same photo, same recipe, fewer steps.

On the website

1. Open the recipe and click "Upload image", in the right column or under the title on a phone.
2. Choose a file or drag it in. JPG and PNG only.

Your photo appears on your Bookshelf right away, though you may need to refresh the page. Other members see it once we've checked it.

Where photos appear on a recipe: the official image first if there is one, then your own photos, then other members' photos with the most recent first.

Two rules: the photo must be your own, and it shouldn't include the cookbook cover or pages. See the "Uploading photos" section of our Terms and Conditions for the full detail.
