Members can now index their own personal recipes on Eat Your Books. So all those recipes that you've been clipping from magazines and been given by a friend or relative can be added to your Bookshelf. You can also use this form to add online recipes if you do not want to create the full index of ingredients and categories.
Using the Personal Recipes data input form you have access to the EYB Library of ingredients and categories so your own recipes will be included in your searches. These recipes will not be seen by or accessible to other members
To add a Personal Recipe:
- Click on the Personal Recipes link in the drop-down menu under the My Bookshelf tab
- A blank input form will appear - make sure you click on the ? to read the inputting instructions and then start adding details about your recipes
- You can add an Online URL so you link to the full recipe if it is available online
To ensure they are added in a way consistent with EYB's own indexing system, there is a detailed Help file explaining each field and how EYB uses it. For more information go to the Personal Recipes Indexing Manual.
